Canonical tag

Post by rosebaby50955 »

Heading meta tags start from h1, for the title of the page, and continue with h2, h3 through h6. Here is a practical example:

If you have two almost identical pages, in order not to confuse Google and play petroleum manufacturers email lists its position, you can direct the search engine spider to the “main” URL. The canonical tag defines which URL has priority.

Alternative text – Alt Text
Image optimization offers an additional ranking opportunity, this time with visual content.

Image

Images on your website should be optimized for both search engines and users. Alt text accomplishes both goals: it provides a textual alternative that is displayed in place of the image in case it fails to load or is read aloud using a screen reader.

The alt text is tasked with describing an image to users and search engines. You can include one or more keywords, but don't force them. Otherwise, they harm the user experience.

Meta Tag Robots
A robots tag is an element in a page's HTML code that tells search engines which pages on your site should be indexed and which should not. Its function is similar to robots.txt. But robots.txt prevents search engines from indexing all or part of a site.

For example, if you have content that you don't want indexed but want to keep, you simply add a noindex tag to that page.

The robots meta tag is an element used to manage search engine behavior in terms of crawling and indexing.

With the Noindex and nofollow commands you can tell Google not to index a page and not to follow links, for example. There are also other commands such as nosnippet, which is used to prevent the code snippet from being displayed, or noarchive, to prevent the page from being inserted into the cache.

These are the most commonly used meta tags that will help you with your SEO. Now that you know them, how can you insert them into your website?

If you are familiar with HTML, you can insert meta tags directly into your website code: many digital marketers and developers do it this way for convenience and speed, and above all to have full control over the result, which is not always achieved with a CMS such as WordPress or Joomla, among others.
