The meeting focused on the strategic relations between the UAE and France, and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve the interests of both countries. The two sides also discussed issues of common interest, in particular the ongoing developments in Afghanistan.

Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, received on Monday French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and Florence Parly, Minister French Army, at Al Shati Palace.

The two ministers conveyed the greetings of President Emmanuel Macron for the UAE’s help in the evacuation of French diplomats and nationals from the Afghan capital Kabul, as well as citizens of many other countries.

The ministers also expressed their country’s appreciation for the phone number library important humanitarian role played by the United Arab Emirates in Afghanistan in recent years under the difficult conditions that the Afghan people have endured.

For his part, Sheikh Mohammed praised the relations of the United Arab Emirates with France and Macron.

Sheikh Mohammed praised the UAE-France bilateral relations and mutual trust that unites the two countries, as well as their positive and moderate vision of issues of security, stability and prosperity in the region.
